Privacy Policy
My Home Memory helps you keep track of maintenance items, warranties, and documents. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is stored, and what choices you have.
1. Information you add to the app
You may choose to store information such as:
- item names, categories, and descriptions;
- purchase dates, maintenance dates, and warranty dates;
- notes you write in the app;
- photos and documents you attach to items;
- optional calendar reminder settings.
2. How your data is stored
By default, your data is stored locally on your device. If you enable CloudKit sync, your item data and attachments may also be stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service, so your data can be available across your Apple devices.
CloudKit data is stored in your private iCloud database and is associated with your Apple ID, not shared publicly by the app.
3. Camera and photo library access
If you choose to add photos or scan documents, the app may request access to:
- your camera, to take photos of documents or items; and
- your photo library, to select existing images.
These permissions are optional and only used when you choose those features.
4. Notifications and app badge
The app may send local notifications for maintenance reminders and may update the app badge count when relevant reminders are due or overdue. These are local notifications generated by the app on your device.
5. Data sharing
My Home Memory does not sell your personal data. The app does not use its own external analytics or advertising systems based on the current app behavior. If you enable CloudKit, Apple processes your synced data as part of its iCloud services.
6. Exported data
If you use export features, the app may create CSV or ZIP files containing your data and documents. These files are created at your request and can then be saved, shared, or stored wherever you choose.
7. Deleting your data
You can delete items within the app at any time. If CloudKit sync is enabled, synced data may remain in your private iCloud database until removed through app actions that sync those deletions. Deleting the app from your device does not automatically guarantee immediate deletion of data already stored in iCloud.
8. Your choices
You can choose whether to:
- store data only locally or enable CloudKit sync;
- grant or deny camera, photo, and notification permissions;
- remove the app and local app data from your device.
